The Society Development programme is offered to students who hold leadership positions within registered student organisations on campus.
 

Why should you participate?

The programme has been designed to provide essential and practical skills relevant to student leaders. This customized programme integrates the development of leadership skills and behaviors,which are built around typical student government issues and situations:
 

  • It affords students the opportunity to enhance and use their abilities, talents, and leadership to serve others while at the university.


When will the programme start?

The programme will run from February to August of each year.
 

The below mentioned workshop are compulsary for all registered student organisations, times and venues for the worskhops are communicated by Society Officers to student organisations.

 

1. Financial & Event Procedures:

The workshop provides you with an understanding of the financial and administrative process followed by the university. This worshop provides you with a framework for planning events as well as effective financial spending.

 

2. Plan of Action (POA) Workshop:

This workshop assists you with developing and planning your society plan of action(POA) for the respective year.

 

3.Student Parliament Process Session:

This workshop will introduce you to basic concepts and rules of student parliament and you will gain a better understanding of the process.

 

4. Achiever/Merit Awards Information Session:

This information session provides you with all the relevant information needed to find out what and how you can plan your year and put yourself and/or your society in line for either merit and/or achievers award.
