Dr Bernard Sebake

Director of Student Governance & Development

The Department of Student Governance and Development is strategically positioned to develop and enhance your potential through its programmes, interventions and services offered.

As a student you will be provided with opportunities to reconnect with your hidden potential; to sharpen your skills through leadership development training; to participate in building human conscience; and to serve your community with dignity.

As a department, we aim to add value by striving to ignite social development of students with a focus on social cohesion interventions that embraces the value system of Nelson Mandela University such as “Ubuntu”. We are also known for driving economic transformation through our student entrepreneurship programmes, which has seen more students playing a critical part in entrepreneurship development in the rural and township areas.

We welcome you to be part of a living experience of building an intergeneration of intellectuals that shapes the course of transformation.

We hope you enjoy the experience!
