Change the world

Student Governance and Development

For the past 6 years the Port Elizabeth branch of the Businesswomen’s Association has presented a workshop for 120 female Grade 12 learners from selected schools throughout the Metro. The workshop centres on encouraging learners to consider future options and to motivate them to take responsibility for their future. Understanding that peer to peer learning is a successful way of sharing knowledge, university students from NMMU’s “Beyond the Class Room” initiative assist with facilitation and act as role-models to the learners.

Who can take part:

Only   currently registered female NMMU university students who are members of the Beyond the Classroom Leadership Programme,  irrespective of  year or field of study, are eligible to participate.
