Enviromental Health Society

Description

The Environmental Health Society (EHS), is an academic society which came to existence in the year 2017. It focuses more on health promotion and education, while creating a sense of belonging for members, a networking platform and a culture forged by positivity as well as other values.

We inmost value Positivity, Encouragement, Honesty, Teamwork and Determination.

Aim

To target other areas outside the University and become an influential tool, by engaging in physical activities which may be helpful to local communities (clean ups).
To educate and do health promotions in and outside of the University.
To emphasise on preventing some actions and activities that people do and which may be adverse to health.
To spread awareness on emergent and potential diseases to everyone.
To try and change the perspective of people, especially students when it comes to health.
To promote an active and healthy lifestyle to all people in general.
To ensure members acquire skills related to Environmental Health by creating opportunities which would lead them to exposure and ideas.

Purpose

Forming an academic community for all Environmental Health students, while ensuring that all members of the society become aware of what Environmental Health is! and what it stands for. Pecuniary gain is not a purpose of the society.
