Nelson Mandela University’s groundbreaking initiative, ‘Tangible Africa’, has achieved a remarkable milestone with its annual #Coding4Mandela event. From its humble beginnings only two years ago, the event has surged forward, drawing an impressive 16,000 participants across Africa in its 2023 edition.

Recent incidents have prompted a collective call for vigilance amongst Nelson Mandela University students transversing the Summerstrand area and broader locales, including North End, Missionvale and Govan Mbeki. Reports of armed robberies involving individuals in a silver vehicle without a number plate, have raised concerns throughout these areas.

The Madibaz Athletics Club will continue its celebration of humanity alongside partner Canrad when they host The Human Race at Mandela University in Gqeberha on October 7.
