Welcome to the world of student activities. Being at the University is probably the best opportunity you will have to participate in a wide range of activities. From toastmasters to drama and debating, the choice is WIDE-OPEN, all you have to do is join a society.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Monitoring, management of budgets for societies and co-ordination of student events.Providing support and Guidance to society leadership.

Co-ordination of marketing promotional activities aimed at students and Ad hoc student events.Supporting student life events, Diversity Month, Women’s Day, Leadership Week, Societies Awards Function, Campus Life.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN A SOCIETY?

Being a part of other activities at the University is valuable for your own development and your future. Employers look for more than just good grades but seek people with initiative and confidence. They look for people who work well with others, have been responsible and involved in organising events and who have taken up challenges other than just been in the classroom.

HOW DO I JOIN A SOCIETY?

Deciding on which society to join can be a little daunting but also very exciting. Membership forms are available on the top right hand corner of this webpage. You are most welcome to visit our offices and equire about societies and we will inform you of the contact persons for each society. By participating in the activities and projects organised by the various societies, you will gain leadership, communication and social skills.

Visit the Society Officers on all campuses to find out what societies are available and when and where they meet.
